Aave’s zkEVM Launch Plan Passes “Temperature Check” Vote

The third lending protocol proposal Aave’s “temperate check” was overwhelmingly positive.

The Aave community overwhelmingly supported a “temperature check” proposal to deploy the DEX on the zkSync Era Mainnet.

using April 16, over 99% of Aave AAVE tokenholders opted to launch the third version of the lending and borrowing protocol using the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM).

The March 26 proposal limits launch to USD Coin and Ether.

After a “positive sentiment” temperature check, the proposal’s following phases include more discussion, risk parameter review, and proposal finalisation.

The proposal will be voted on and approved on-chain if the next steps succeed.

Only about 0.02% of the total vote was cast against the idea, while another 0.02% did not participate.

The proposal states that deploying on zkSync can introduce new consumers to decentralised finance and establish Aave as a leading zero-knowledge borrowing platform.

Another off-chain vote approved deploying the Aave V3 codebase on zkSync’s v2 Testnet.

Distributed exchange After a governance proposal passed, Polygon’s azkEVM scaling solution will launch Uniswap.

After a $60 million short attempt failed in November 2022, Aave restructured its governance.
