‘Giancarlo’ keys managed poorly says post-hack Bitfinex security report

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has reportedly obtained the security report created by Ledger Labs that was commissioned by Bitfinex after its 2016 hack. The report details numerous failures to follow industry best practice, failure to practice adequate logging, and failure to implement a whitelist. The Bitfinex hack backstory On August 2, 2016, Bitfinex was hacked in what was then the second-largest Bitcoins hack ever recorded. The report reveals the balances of BTC, ETH, and USDT held by OKX, totaling a significant amount of $11.3 billion. According to the report , OKX has maintained a reserve ratio of over 100% for eight month s. The PoR report includes various assets such as USDC, XRP, DOGE, SOL, OKB, APT, DASH, DOT, ELF, EOS, ETC, FIL, LINK, LTC, OKT, PEOPLE, TON, TRX, and UNI, in addition to BTC, ETH, and USDT. THORChain has once again halted its network, taking action as a precautionary measure while verifying reports on a potential network vulnerability. Cross-chain liquidity protocol THORChain has paused its network due to new claims of a potential network vulnerability. THORChain took to Twitter on March 28 to announce that it has halted all trading amid reports on a potential vulnerability with a THORChain dependency that may affect the network.
